Intro to Brissie 30's plus Social Group

My name is Erika & I am the convenor of the Brissie 30's plus Social Group. Brissie 30's plus is a social group where singles & couples aged 30 - 45 year old who meet regularly for social activities at various places across Brisbane on a fortnightly basis. The group was formed in approx June 2007 & has been growing ever since.

I asked Suzie to create this forum page for the group where all the events will be listed & members can reply if they're coming & also place other posts like if they're looking for a lift or have seats avail in there car, or if they know of any events/live bands coming up in there area or anything else they think others maybe interested in attending and somewhere we can gather and chat online...

The designated chat time will be 7pm -10pm each day for those that are able to come in and join us at those times. I wont be able to make it online every night but when I am able too I certainly will be here.

As of the 20th June in celebration of our one year birthday I will be starting Regular Friday night events on the Northside, Southside and Logan areas. Also hope to be able to start one in Redcliffe/Pine Rivers once a venue is located.

The regular fortnightly events will be Karaoke. Those that are able to come will meet:

Northside:Geebung-Zillmere RSL cnr Newman Road & Collings Street Geebung at 7:30pm.

Southside:Muddy Farmers on Corner of Annerley and Ipswich Rd Annerley at 8pm

Logan:Logan Diggers RSL at 8pm

Sat 28 June Our first Birthday. Meet 7pm for Dinner at Blackjacks (Treasury Casino) $25. Blackjacks Buffet, situated on the ground level, features an all-you-can-eat buffet. As will need to book table please RSVP by 21 June

Sat 26 July "BYO PICNIC LUNCH - Roma Street Parklands - meet at 12:30. This will be the members drive for Area C Being Bris CBD, South Brisbane, Kangaroo Point, New Farm, Bowen Hills, Paddington & Cooparoo. All welcome to attend regardless of what area you live in. RSVP by 22 July

Sat 9 Aug Bus Day trip - Venue to be decided open to suggestions

13 Sept "Weekend away - open to suggestion of where - Would like to keep costs at no more than $80 per Adult.

Fri 3 Oct - 14 Nov Erika will be away on 6 weeks holiday. Will be looking for volunteers to host events whilst I am away

Sat 18th Oct Dinner and Late night Movies - Southbank Will meet at 6:30 - 7pm at The Ship Inn at Sidon Street, South Bank. This venue is wheelchair accessible and its menu is priced between $15 -$25
